Seafood Expo North America 2018 to remain open as scheduled
UPDATE: Due to worsening travel conditions, shuttles returning to hotels from the BCEC on the last day of Seafood Expo North America 2018 will depart at 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. only. There will be no shuttle service after the 1:30 p.m. departure, Diversified Communications announced.
Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America 2018 will remain open for regular hours on Tuesday, 13 March, from 10 a.m to 3 p.m., the expo's organizer Diversified Communications announced on Monday.
Diversified has established a special weather update section for its website to keep exhibitors and attendees up-to-date on the latest developments related to snowfall forecasted to hit Boston, Massachusetts on Tuesday, 13 March, the final day of SENA18.
Event management is in continuous contact with authorities, transportation, convention center officials, and contractors to monitor and evaluate the situation as it evolves, Diversified said. The organizer will provide updates on the official expo website, https://www.seafoodexpo.com/north-america/weather-update/, and is asking visitors and exhibitors to check back repeatedly for the latest information on the situation as it unfolds.
Both attendees and exhibitors are encouraged to contact their hotels directly as soon as possible if they anticipate any changes in accommodations in light of the expected weather conditions.
Local transportation updates and weather-related service changes are available via the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s (MBTA) website, https://www.mbta.com/alerts/subway. SENA organizers anticipate that shuttle services will be limited on 13 March due to weather conditions.
