Vietnamese seafood exports gain in value, imports fall

Seafood exports from Vietnam are estimated to have increased in value by more than 4 percent in the first eight months of this year, achieving a total value of USD 4.3 billion (EUR 3.9 billion), according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).
The United States, Japan, China and the Republic of Korea remained largest consumers of Vietnamese products, accounting for a combined 53.4 percent market share in the July through August 2016 period.
