A number of U.S. seafood restaurant chains are offering specials for Veterans Day on 11 November.

McCormick and Schmick’s, which offers a Veterans Day Appreciation event every year, is celebrating veterans on 13 November, offering veterans of the U.S. military, National Guard, Gold Star parents, and Gold Star spouses to enjoy a select half-priced entrée on Sunday, 13 November,” the restaurant chain said on its website.

The chain's Veterans Day menu includes Cedar-Roasted Atlantic Salmon with seasonal vegetables and roasted potatoes, Scallops Ala Linquini, Herb Broth Sea Bass, Crab  and Shrimp Stuffed Salmon, Classic Shrimp Scampi, Chesapeake Buttermilk Fried Shrimp, and Craft Beer Battered Fish and Chips.

Red Lobster is offering active military and veterans a free Walt's Favorite Shrimp entree with fries and coleslaw. The dish features six breaded, butterflied and lightly fried shrimp. The offer is available on 11 November for both dine-in and to-go orders.

At Texas Roadhouse, veterans and active-duty military receive a meal voucher from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on 11 November. The vouchers, which apply to a specific menu, can be used until 30 May, 2023.

Olive Garden is touting a free entree from a menu of five choices. Flanagan’s Seafood Bar & Grill is also offering a free meal to veterans all day on 11 November. And Ivar’s Restaurants is extending the offer of a free meal to all veterans and active military personnel.

“Just come in ... and order from our special menu,” the restaurant chain said in an email to customers.

Some restaurant chains are extending their Veterans Day offers beyond this weekend. At Applebee’s, active-duty military, veterans, reserves, and National Guard members receive a free meal when dining in from a special menu on 11 November. Military guests also receive a USD 5.00 (EUR 4.92) gift card to redeem for dine-in, to-go, or delivery orders within a three-week redemption window.
