Frøya, Norway-headquartered SalMar harvested 53,600 metric tons (MT) of head-on gutted (HOG) salmon in the third-quarter of 2022, up 1,500 MT on the corresponding period of 2021, due to an increased volume from the group’s largest business segment, Farming Central Norway, as well as from its Icelandic operations.

Its farms in central Norway harvested a total of 36,000 MT of salmon in the period, 1,800 MT more than in Q3 2021. However, the volume from its other Norwegian location, Farming Northern Norway, fell 1,700 MT to 13,800 MT.
