Restaurants highlight lobster, shrimp for National Seafood Month

Carlsbad, California, U.S.A.-based Rubio’s is bringing back wild and certified sustainable langostino lobster entrees while rolling out a new item: Langostino Lobster Nas Queso Quesadilla.

“Guests look forward to the return of langostino lobster each year,” Rubio’s Co-Founder Ralph Rubio said in a press release. “Our culinary team continuously develops recipes that offer guests new ways to experience seafood, and our tender, delicious langostino lobster is always highly requested. Its return coincides with the holiday season, so guests can enjoy these Baja-inspired flavor combinations with fresh, quality ingredients all winter long.”

The lobster dishes are available through 3 January. The four entrées include Langostino Lobster Two Taco Plate, Langostino Lobster Bowl, Puerto Nuevo Burrito, Más Queso Quesadilla.

Ocean Prime, owned by Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, is utilizing lobster in some of its special sushi rolls and entrees and wine pairings for National Seafood Month. It has menued a new lobster roll with kiwi, pickled serrano chilis, masago, and spicy mango sauce, along with halibut with colossal Maryland blue crab and gnocchi, and champagne cream, per FSR Magazine.

Also, for National Seafood Month, Louisville, Kentucky, U.S.A.-based Long John Silver’s is offering a free Coconut Popcorn Shrimp Snack Box with any purchase of USD 10.00 (EUR 10.15) or more. 

“Pair these crispy morsels of shrimp with your favorite delica-seas, like our two-piece fish combo featuring wild-caught Alaska pollock,” the restaurant chain said in a press release.

Customers can get the coupon for the free snack box when they follow Long John Silver’s on social media or subscribe to its email club. 

Separately, Tampa, Florida, U.S.A.-based Bonefish Grill is offering customers USD 5.00 (EUR 5.07) off a purchase of USD 30.00 (EUR 30.41) or more to celebrate National Seafood Month. It has also introduced a Kung Pao Shrimp Noodles dish.
