Meet the new baby food company making a big splash in seafood
Bambino’s Frozen Baby Food has made quite the splash in seafood this year, having secured one of the top prizes at the 2016 Alaska Symphony of Seafood competition with its Hali Halibut baby food product.
The Alaska-based company is the brainchild of owner Zoi Maroudas-Tziolas, who combined her medical training background from Baylor University and the University of Washington with her culinary experience to create organic baby food products inspired by the Mediterranean diet ethos.
“We know that baby food can do more than just be nutritious and delicious. It can help a baby thrive–for life. Leading research is behind each carefully blended recipe designed to provide key ingredients at just the right time in a baby’s development to help prevent food allergies and sensitivities while providing the highest levels of DHA (Omega 3s) that are essential to the development of the brain’s neurotransmitters, along with other key nutrients essential
Seafood featured in Bambino’s products is wild caught and carefully selected to assure high levels of nutrients and protein for maintaining, repairing and making new cells. The company also notes that the seafood – such as the wild Alaska halibut featured in its Hali Halibut baby food – is sustainably sourced. All Bambino’s baby food offerings are approved for sale by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and are certified Kosher and organic. Additionally, they have been okayed by allergists and pediatricians for babies 4 months old and above.
