Legacy Chilean mussel supplier breaking into US market with a little help
Chile-based Orizon Foods, a new subsidiary of Orizon S.A. and a global seafood supplier of over 60 years, is looking to break into the U.S. market with the help of mid-Atlantic integrated marketing firm GKV.
After officially debuting its products to the U.S. market during last month’s Seafood Expo North America event in Boston, Massachusetts, Orizon is working with GKV to further develop its brand identity, logo and packaging as well as enhance its trade show presence, sales materials and website.
“We are excited to offer our expertise in retail and consumer marketing to Orizon,” GKV Executive Vice President Garry Raim said. “This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a highly regarded international brand, and help them launch and grow in the United States.”
“We chose to work with GKV because it was apparent that they understood our category,” explained Denis Minihane, U.S. sales director for Orizon Foods. “GKV’s creativity and experience with integrated marketing will be crucial to our brand in the U.S. launch. We look forward to continuing to build our relationship with GKV.”
Products that were introduced by the company during the SENA17 exhibition included: Mussels in a Garlic Butter Sauce, Mussels in a Red Thai Sweet Curry Sauce and Whole Mussel Meat. The company plans on participating in two additional trade shows in 2017, with GKV consulting at its side.
Parent company Orizon S.A. will be exhibiting at the upcoming Seafood Expo Global / Seafood Processing Global event in Brussels, Belgium from 25 to 27 April, at booth No. 9-4029.
