A Singaporean seafood restaurant with three outlets in Shanghai is aiming to open more outlets in China’s business capital.

Jumbo, also known as Zhen Bao Seafood, said it wants to open more locations in the city’s five-star hotels, according to company chairman Huang Jian Ming.

Jumbo flies seafood in daily from Singapore, according to Huang. Its three current locations are focused on attracting wealthy Shanghai diners from offices. The firm’s outlet in the giant IAPM mall brings in an average spend of CNY 300 (USD 44.43, EUR 38.12) per person, while the average spend in its outlet in Lai Fu Shi mall is CNY 200 to 250 (USD 29.63 to 29.63, EUR 25.42 to 31.77) per head. Diners in the IFC Guo Jin Zhang (also known as the International Finance Center) spend a whopping CNY 400 (USD 59.25, EUR 50.83) per head, according to the company.

Jumbo’s menu features traditional recipes such as one-kilogram Alaska crabs served with hot peppers. It currently serves up to 1.6 tons of crab daily in Shanghai, Huang said.
