Increased Q3 2022 salmon harvest for Bakkafrost, feed sales down

Glyvrar, Faroe Islands-based Atlantic salmon farmer Bakkafrost Group harvested a total 24,900 metric tons (MT) of head-on gutted (HOG) weight fish in the third quarter of this year, with increased volumes for the period from both its Faroese and Scottish operations.

Bakkafrost’s Faroese operations harvested a total 16,800 MT of salmon in the quarter, which represented an increase of 1,900 MT from the corresponding period of 2021 ...
