Helene Ziv-Douki steps into the role of president for Cargill Aqua Nutrition
Helene Ziv-Douki has been appointed to the role of president of Cargill Aqua Nutrition, succeeding Pilar Cruz, who was recently promoted to chief sustainability officer.
Ziv-Douki, who has been with Cargill since 2003, joined the enterprise’s animal nutrition and health team in 2017 as the risk management and sourcing director for its aqua-nutrition division. In that position, Ziv-Douki “had the opportunity to interact with aqua nutrition teams around the world, gain a deep understanding of the business, and provide innovative solutions to Cargill’s aqua-nutrition customers, including creating a market-leading partnership with the insect industry,” the company said.
“Helene’s success during her more than 20-year career reflects her approach as a builder of multicultural, diverse teams and talent, her customer focus, and her passion for excellence and innovation,” Cargill Animal Nutrition and Health Global Lead Ruth Kimmelshue said. “She brings a passion for sustainability and the aqua and seafood industry, with unique capabilities and perspectives that will help our aqua-nutrition team advance its business objectives and deliver for our customers.”
Ziv-Douki said she is optimistic about sustainable aquaculture’s future and Cargill’s role in advancing it.
“It’s an honor and dream come true to come back to our world-class aqua-nutrition team,” Ziv-Douki said. “I’m excited to lead the team into the future as we chart a bold new course for a sustainable aquaculture, making a positive impact for the planet while delivering superior products to our customers. I’m really looking forward to spending time with our customers to identify how we can best serve them and create new opportunities for success.”
Cruz moved into her newly-created role on Cargill’s executive team in March 2021. As the firm’s chief sustainability officer, she is responsible for the enterprise’s sustainability, corporate responsibility, and global communications functions.
