Fresh Ideation Food Group issues major recall that includes albacore tuna products

On 3 February, Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A.-based Fresh Ideation Food Group issued a major recall of items including albacore tuna sandwiches and salad due to potential listeria monocytogenes contamination.

The sell-through date ranges from 31 January to 6 February, 2023, according to a press release issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administraiton.

Hundreds of products were included in the recall, which were distributed to retail locations across the U.S. states of Connecticut, Washington D.C., Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia.

Distribution reached stores, vending machines, and travel transportation providers. The recalled products include sandwiches, salads, snacks, yogurts, wraps, and related products. All products have a "Fresh Creative Cuisine" label or identifier, according to the FDA.

No illnesses from consuming the products have been yet reported to the FDA.
