French premium food provider Les Toques Blanches du Monde has acquired 100 percent of Unis Fish Food (UFF), according to a report from Bourse Direct.

Founded in 1989 and based in Southeast-Central France, UFF specializes in supplying smoked salmon, crab, and caviar to the European market. Retailers such as Monoprix, Carrefour, Auchan, and E. Leclerc carry the company’s smoked salmon products, which are sold under the Le Monde Du Saumon brand.

Last year, UFF, which has 14 employees, posted a turnover of EUR 3.4 million (USD 4 million). Les Toques Blanches du Monde said the merger with UFF will help boost the new group’s revenues incrementally in the years ahead, with over EUR 7 million (USD 8.2 million) in revenue expected in 2021 and more than EUR 10 million (USD 11.7 million) anticipated by 2023.

Les Toques Blanches du Monde sells its expansive premium portfolio, which includes Scottish salmon, across France and internationally. The acquisition of UFF will allow Les Toques Blanches du Monde to extend its positioning on the value chain “from production to the marketing of a product with high potential,” Bourse Direct reported.
