Jersey City, New Jersey, U.S.A-based Delight Foods USA has recalled catfish products that were imported from India, a country deemed ineligible to export such products to the United States.

The recall, announced 3 February, involves 2,961 pounds of raw, frozen catfish products sold in two-pound plastic bags.

The products do not contain a USDA mark of inspection and were shipped to retail locations across the U.S.

The issue with the products was discovered during a FSIS surveillance activity of imported products. There have not been any reports of adverse reactions to the products due to consumption.

In a press release, FSIS urged consumers not to eat the recalled product and to return it or throw it away.
