Cousins Maine Lobster founders starring in new Food Network series set to premiere this weekend
Food Truck Rehab, a new Food Network show premiering on Sunday, 11 April, will follow Cousins Maine Lobster founders Jim Tselikis and Sabin Lomac as they share their expertise and ideas with struggling food truck owners hoping to bring their businesses back from the “brink of financial ruin.”
Tselikis and Lomac, who are cousins, aren’t unfamiliar with the spotlight of reality TV – they pitched their food truck business concept, which features lobster and seafood offerings, on the hit ABC series “Shark Tank” in 2016, and received backing from American bigwig businesswoman Barbara Ann Corcoran. Initially, Cousins Maine Lobster consisted of a single food truck in Los Angeles, California. In the years since Tselikis and Lomac appeared on Shark Tank, the company has expanded to 20 trucks in 13 cities throughout the U.S., according to its website.
With Food Truck Rehab, the cousins aim to share the ins and outs of running successful food truck operations, especially as food trucks continue to gain in popularity.
“Food trucks are in cities across the country, but running a successful food truck isn’t an easy road – most hit a dead end soon after opening,” the Food Network series description states. “No one knows this better than entrepreneurs Sabin Lomac and Jim Tselikis, cousins and owners of Cousins Maine Lobster, a multimillion-dollar food truck empire. Using their expertise and insight, the cousins help struggling food truckers before they’re derailed for good. Sabin and Jim will make over everything from the truck to the menu while rehabilitating the business and relationship between owners.”
The first episode, “I Dream of Pizza,” will chronicle Tselikis and Lomac helping Ron Cerbone and Alex Armstrong, a father and son-in-law duo, get their wood-fired pizza truck business Pacific Pizza Co. back on track in the wake of a family tragedy. The episode will air on 11 April at 11 p.m. EST/8 p.m. PST.
