Camanchaca Inc. – the U.S. division of Chilean seafood company Camanchaca S.A. – is unveiling a new organic mussel at Seafood Expo North America, which kicks off on 17 March and runs to 19 March at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

The new product, Gourmet Organic Mussels, will be launched under the company’s Pier 33 Gourmet Brand and represent the first certified organic Chilean mussel in the American market. The mussels are certified to European organic standards, and will be audited by the Organización Internacional Agropecuaria.

“We are committed to offering only the highest quality seafood to our customers and consumers,” Cesar Lago, President of Camanchaca Inc., said in a release. “Our well established and popular Pier 33 Gourmet Mussels are inherently natural and free of any chemicals or antibiotics. We pursued the Organic certification to add an extra dimension of value and meet the highest independently certified standards.”

Camanchaca’s Pier 33 Gourmet brand is intended to offer customers easy to prepare, flavorful seafood options of high quality, according to the company. In addition to the unveiling of the mussels, Camanchaca plans to show off other new products, including the “Ocean Raised Blackened Salmon,” “Bourbon Glazed Salmon,” and their “Wild Argentine Red Shrimp.”

“All of Pier 33 Gourmet’s seafood is sustainable, natural and non-GMO,” Lago said. “We are very excited about sharing these new delicious, convenient and healthy products with the US consumer.”

The new products will be on display at Booth #1657 during SENA.
