Beaver Street Fisheries' new Sea Best-branded Seafood Festival Steamer Pot offering.

Beaver Street Fisheries is rolling out a new Steamer Pot as part of its Sea Best Seafood Festival line.

The Jacksonville, Florida, U.S.A.-based supplier first launched a Sea Best Shrimp & Crab Pot boil-in-bag product in 2018. The new frozen product “addresses a consumer demand for more-interesting seafood options that are easy to prepare at home,” the company said in a press release.

The Shrimp & Crab Pot features traditional style seafood mix of shrimp, snow crab, and mussels, while Sea Best’s new Steamer Pot offers a New England-style boil featuring Best Aquaculture Practices-certified shrimp; wild-caught, Marine Stewardship Council-certified Canadian lobster claws; as well as clams and mussels.

The frozen, three-pound resealable bags retail for a suggested USD 24.99 (EUR 25.64) each.

“Research has shown that consumers are hungry for great seafood meals at home that replicate what they would enjoy in a restaurant. This line delivers that along with great pre-seasoned, ready-to-cook seafood that is super-easy to prepare,” Beaver Street Fisheries Director of Marketing Bluzette Carline told SeafoodSource.

Beaver Street’s research and development teams relied on consumer-based data when considering which new flavor and mixture to add to the line, Beaver Street Director of Research and Development Leann Millette said.

“Sea Best continues to explore new and exciting seafood options that are not only flavorful, but also simple to prepare as a meal,” Millette said.
