Annie Tselikis leaves Maine Coast for bigger role at Maine Lobster Dealers' Association
Annie Tselikis is stepping down from her role as marketing manager for York, Maine-based lobster wholesaler Maine Coast to take on a full-time position with the Maine Lobster Dealers’ Association (MLDA), effective 30 January, according to a company news release.
Tselikis, who worked for Maine Coast over the past two years, also served concurrently in a part-time capacity as the executive director for the MLDA, a trade association that supports live lobster wholesalers and lobster processors. As MLDA undergoes an expansion at the behest of its members, Tselikis is taking a full-time leadership role. Maine Coast’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing Sheila Adams will oversee ongoing marketing functions in the wake of Tselikis’s departure, the company said.
Tom Adams, Maine Coast’s founder and CEO, said the company supports Tselikis in her future endeavors, noting the unique experiences and skills she offers the lobster industry.
“We are sorry to see Annie leave Maine Coast. She has been a great asset for our company, but she is uniquely suited to support all of the lobster businesses and work for the collective benefit of the entire lobster industry,” Adams said.
Given her broad experience, Tselikis well-equipped to advocate on the Maine industry’s behalf, said Seaview Lobster’s Tom Flanigan, who serves as MLDA’s vice president. Moreover, the fact that she will be working full-time is important given the many pressing issues the industry is confronting.
“The Maine lobster industry is operating in an increasingly complex global environment and is facing issues and potential opportunities on many fronts,” Flanigan said. “Now more than ever, MLDA is vitally important and should be supported by all segments of the Maine lobster industry. As the full-time MLDA director, Annie will bring the experience and skill-set necessary to communicate and advocate on the industry's behalf and keep MLDA members informed and engaged on a variety of complex issues.”
