Veramaris appoints Nathalie Gross as its new senior global communications manager
Delft, The Netherlands-based Veramaris has appointed Nathalie Gross as its new senior global communications manager, the company announced this month.
Gross, who comes to the role with 12 years of experience in integrated communications and government relations, arrives at Veramaris “at a busy time,” according to the biotech firm.
“She will take responsibility for communications around both the aquaculture business and the new Veramaris Pets product, which was launched in the summer,” the company said in a press release.
Coming most recently from Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate, where she spearheaded global business sustainability communications, Gross is proficient in areas of media relations, change communications, public affairs and stakeholder management, and integrated communications strategy as they pertain to sustainability, climate change and energy, and social impact.
“Our world faces a multitude of environmental challenges which require viable solutions. I am energized to be joining a purpose driven team that is bringing ground-breaking innovation to the aquaculture industry and marine sustainability overall,” Gross said.
Gross will report to Veramaris Global Marketing and Communications Director Øyvind Ihle.
“We are delighted to have Nathalie on board. It is a really exciting time for Veramaris and her depth of knowledge and expertise will bring additional strength to the team,” Ihle said.
Currently, Gross is studying for an executive MBA degree at the Rotterdam School of Management, Veramaris said.
The company is known for producing oil made from natural marine algae, rich in both the essential omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, as well as ARA, a long-chain omega-6.
“Veramaris enables key stakeholders in aquaculture and pet nutrition to be less dependent on wild-caught fish as a source of both EPA and DHA and helps to meet the growing demand for sustainable seafood,” the company said in a press release.
