Former Pacific Seafood leader hired as new Pescanova USA sales VP
Miami, Florida-based Pescanova USA has appointed Ryan Pieper, formerly of Pacific Seafood, as its new vice president of sales, the company announced on 25 September.
A seafood industry veteran, Pieper most recently served as the assistant general manager and sales manager for Pacific Seafood. In his new role with Pescanova USA, Pieper will lead the company’s domestic sales growth strategy, broadening its foodservice and retail presences with the help of the firm’s robust sales team.
Pieper brings a wealth of culinary experience to Pescanova USA, having worked as an executive chef. According to Pescanova USA CEO Chris Maze, the company looks forward to leveraging Pieper’s unique talents in its future innovative endeavors.
“Ryan Pieper is joining the Pescanova USA team at a great moment during the company’s expansion in the US,” Maze said. “Ryan has an extraordinary background as a proven sales leader and former executive chef that allows him to anticipate what our customers need to enhance and grow their business. We are focused on growing our presence in the food service and retail channels and utilizing the benefits of our vertically integrated supply chain to provide new solutions and create value for all stakeholders. With the addition of Ryan Pieper to our management team, we are poised to continue our growth in the US market.”
The position marks the next phase in his career, Pieper noted, providing ample opportunities for personal growth.
“I am very excited and honored to be starting in this new position with Pescanova USA as the vice president of sales,” Pieper said. “This is the next step in my career and a new challenge that I can’t wait to start with Chris Maze and the entire team. I’m looking forward to hitting the ground running with the sales team to get the Pescanova brand and products in the market where we will show the value of our partnership to current and future customers.”
“In my last position I gained an immense amount of professional experience and industry knowledge that is allowing me to take this next step in my career,” he added. “I wish my former leadership team and colleagues the very best in what is undoubtably a bright future for the company.”
Pescanova USA is a subsidiary of Nueva Pescanova Group, a major Spanish fishing company based in Vigo, Spain. The enterprise operates its own aquaculture farms and fishing vessels. It first broke into the U.S. market in 1998.
