BAADER homing in on “important French market” with new joint entity for fish and poultry
Lübeck, Germany-based processing equipment firm BAADER has opened a new entity, BAADER France, in Nantes, Loire-Atlantique, the enterprise announced on 23 November.
BAADER France will serve both the fish and poultry markets via a joint local sales force, with support from a sales branch in Boulogne sur Mer in Hauts-de-France. The development is part of BAADER’s commitment to “the important French market,” the company said in a press release.
BAADER Executive Chairwoman Petra Baader said BAADER France will allow the overall enterprise to concentrate its activities.
“The opening of BAADER France in Nantes marks a milestone for our company. It represents our ambition to globally join forces across our industry sectors. At the same time, we strengthen our philosophy of being ‘in the region for the region,’” she said.
Previously, Boulogne sur Mer-based MONDIAL NAVYS served as the official and exclusive BAADER distributor in France for BAADER fish processing equipment, with the two companies forming a close cooperation and friendship over the course of 50-plus years. Over the next three months, MONDIAL NAVYS will “hand over its activities to BAADER France,” BAADER said. Once the new entity is fully operational, MONDIAL NAVYS employees will join that team, with plans to create even more jobs set for the near future, the company said.
“We are confident in the further development of the French market. With this new entity, we are preparing BAADER for future growth in one of the most promising markets in Europe,” Baader said.
Regarding its poultry business, BAADER has been present in Nantes, France with a local subsidiary of LINCO Food Systems since 1999.
“The new entity will remain in the offices of LINCO France at 84, Quai de la fosse, 44000 Nantes and will be led by Serge Lorenzini, currently general manager of LINCO France,” the company said.
